Caftan Dress Cafe Length in Moon Linen
Inspired by one of my most treasured possessions: a caftan that my mother wore in the late 1960s and early 70s.
My caftan has a modernized neckline and sleeve, but otherwise remains true to the incredible original piece. I make the caftan in the most wearable fabrics, to emphasize its unstructured and delicate feel. I absolutely live in this piece all year round.
Details:
soft “v" neckline
full length sleeve
cafe-length hemline.... hits just below the knee
Also available in Liberty of London Fragile Blooms, Grey Striped Khadi, Liberty Midnight Ditsy, Ink Handkerchief Linen, Liberty Navy Floral, Rosewood Handkerchief Linen
Sizing, in my opinion is a subjective thing. The goal for anything you wear is to have effortless fit, form, and function, and of course you want to feel great. It’s for these reasons I am pretty committed to not locking myself in to a particular size. For example, I am on the petite side, however, I love an oversized fit so I often size up in certain pieces. This is why I’ve chosen to label the sizing in Jess Brown pieces with numbers rather then the traditional letters showing extra small through extra large. My hope is you choose pieces in my collection that feel great on and let go of what size you think you are. The way I have designed the collection is as a capsule of pieces that work in many sizes. You may love a size 1 in a top but then gravitate towards a 3 in a dress...
