Underpinning in Ink Crinkled Cotton
Inspired by a french slip I discovered at a local antique fair. I fell in love with its beautiful and delicate handwork detailing. I reimagined this piece as a more utilitarian slip.
The underpinning replicates the hand-created chevron detailing of my original find. I added a shirt tail hem
so you have the right amount of coverage if it’s worn under a sheer dress. It works beautifully as a camisole, or under any of my pieces. I even wear it tucked in to jeans or potters pants.
Details:
adjustable thin shoulder straps
hemline sits between hip and upper thigh
Also available in Block Print Check, Faded Olive Crinkled Cotton, Black Crinkled Cotton
Sizing, in my opinion is a subjective thing. The goal for anything you wear is to have effortless fit, form, and function, and of course you want to feel great. It’s for these reasons I am pretty committed to not locking myself in to a particular size. For example, I am on the petite side, however, I love an oversized fit so I often size up in certain pieces. This is why I’ve chosen to label the sizing in Jess Brown pieces with numbers rather then the traditional letters showing extra small through extra large. My hope is you choose pieces in my collection that feel great on and let go of what size you think you are. The way I have designed the collection is as a capsule of pieces that work in many sizes. You may love a size 1 in a top but then gravitate towards a 3 in a dress...
